Bikini Wipe out occurs as riot grrrl punk rock band, formed in Olympia, Washington in October of 1990 (see 1990 in music). Typically considered a godmothers of riot grrrl, Bikini Defeat's incendiary lyrics, calling for "Revolution Girl Style Now" helped inspire infinite female crummy elastic of the Nineties & late.

A band was formed at Evergreen College by Kathleen Hanna, Kathi Wilcox and Tobi Vail. It began working together in the fanzine (see as well zine) called Bikini Obliterate, & using a addition of Billy Karren, formerly of The Go Team on guitar, formed a band of the equivalent title. Around 1993 (see 1993 in music), Bikini Kill attend Engl& and began working by using Huggy Bear, releasing a joint recording together & touring a UK. the tour was a subject of a documentary by Lucy Thane entitled It Changed My Life: Bikini Kill In The U.K.. Fallowing a b& ended, Kathi Wilcox, Tobi Vail & Billy Karren began to perform and record together when The Frumpies. Hanna worked by using various creative person, including Rachel Carns of The Need, in the band known as The Fakes, putting out one LP, and so freed her solo plan, Julie Ruin.
